Community rules
Folimo (formerly Miso and FoodLume)
Friends in Folimo is for people you know: you find each other by an exact @handle and nothing is shared until a request is accepted.
- Choose a name and a @handle that don’t insult, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- No harassment: don’t keep sending requests to someone who doesn’t accept, and don’t use cheers to pressure anyone.
- Friends can also cheer you and leave a small thing in your garden, from a fixed set with preset lines. Only you see it. You can turn this off in What friends see → Things friends leave, make one friend quiet for you from their ⋯, or report it.
- No spam, ads or fake accounts.
- Never comment on what or how much someone eats. Friends never see photos, calories, weight or scores.
Block and report
You can block anyone from their page, a request or a search result. They aren’t told, and you can unblock them in What friends see → Blocked people. Report sends us the reason and your note; the person isn’t told who reported.
How we keep Friends safe
- Filtering: names, @handles and shared meal titles are checked against a list of slurs, sexual terms, threats and self-harm encouragement in English, Romanian, Russian and Spanish. A handle that fails can’t be chosen; a name that fails, or one with a link or contact details, is shown to friends as “Folimo friend”; a meal title that fails isn’t shared.
- Reports: a person reviews every report, with a target of 24 hours.
- Action: we may hide a name, stop someone’s sharing (friends then see only their Foli), or suspend their Friends access for a time or until further notice (they can’t be found, send requests or cheers, and friends see only their Foli). Their own journal isn’t affected. Serious or repeated breaches can end someone’s access to Friends for good.
